Job summary

Modern Machinery has immediate opportunities for full-time Heavy Equipment Field Service Technicians with 3–5 years of field repair experience. The role requires CDL, ability to travel, and lifting up to 75 lbs, with a 4/10 pilot schedule offering four 10-hour days and a three-day weekend.

The position pays $30.00–$50.00 per hour, non-exempt with overtime eligibility, and includes a comprehensive benefits package and 401k. Training and safety compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and climb ladders, etc.
• Requires a valid CDL and insurable driving record.
• DOT E-Logs compliance.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Reliable, honest, strong work ethic.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication with customers and coworkers.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Own required tools.
• Overtime flexibility and travel willingness.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair all systems on Komatsu and related lines.
• Operate equipment to locate and diagnose failures.
• Read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Perform diagnostic testing and tuning of equipment.
• Assess repair scope and actions.
• Communicate with customers and parts department.
• Complete work orders and time entries daily.
• Support other technicians on large repairs.
• Attend training sessions.
