Job summary

Modern Machinery has immediate opportunities for full-time Heavy Equipment Field Service Technicians. Candidates must have 3–5 years of field service truck experience and be well-versed in heavy equipment repair and maintenance. A 4/10 schedule offers four 10‑hour days with a three-day weekend as a pilot program.

The role pays $30.00–$50.00 per hour, with overtime eligibility. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSA, 401k, profit-sharing, scholarships, EAP, life/disability, and voluntary

Qualifications

• Must troubleshoot and analytically solve problems.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
• Valid CDL Class A or B and insurable driving record.
• Accurate DOT E-Logs compliance.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair systems (electrical, hydraulic, A/C, powertrain) on Komatsu and related product lines.
• Operate equipment to locate and diagnose failures.
• Use hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Read and interpret hydraulic/electrical schematics.
• Perform diagnostic testing and determine repair scope and actions.
• Follow safety rules and customer requirements on site.
• Coordinate with parts to order required components.
• Document work orders and time entries; complete paperwork daily.
• Assist other technicians on large repairs or projects.
• Attend training sessions as needed.
