Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Technician based in Shippingport, PA with extensive travel to multiple job sites. You will diagnose and repair transmissions, engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems on heavy construction equipment, including trucks and trailers.

A laptop and diagnostic tools are used for on-site and shop work. The role requires a two-year technical degree in diesel technology or related field and 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, or similar.
• 5+ years’ experience preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment in field or shop.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair transmissions, engines, differentials, electrical and hydraulic components on heavy equipment.
• Utilize a laptop for information and diagnostic purposes for safe assembly/disassembly.
• Write and complete service reports.
• Participate in company training programs.
• Work on a variety of equipment in shop and field environments; travel extensively.
