NC Machinery seeks a Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Resident) for its Fairbanks, Alaska branch. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, engines, powertrains, and hydraulic systems while managing job costs and safety. On-site duties require travel and hands-on expertise with CAT tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required for potential forklift driving and operation equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook).
• Experience with CAT diagnostic equipment is preferred.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment is required.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment, including removal, repair, assembly and installation.
• Diagnose engines, powertrains, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Utilize CAT diagnostic equipment and repair tooling; rigging and blocking equipment as needed.
• Plan and organize work with emphasis on controlling job costs.
• Investigate and analyze problems to provide recommendations for fixes.
