N C Machinery Co. in Fairbanks, Alaska seeks Heavy Equipment Field Technicians - Rotator for its Service Department. The role involves diagnosing and repairing CAT heavy equipment on-site, with a three weeks on/three weeks off rotator schedule and 8 hours per day, seven days a week.

Experience with mining equipment, haul trucks, dozers and loaders is required. A valid driver’s license and proficiency with Microsoft Office are needed; travel to customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2-4 year vocational/technical training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for potential forklift operation and other equipment use.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook).
• Able to stand up to eight hours and perform twisting, bending, squatting, kneeling.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods to work with customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment, including removal, repair, assembly and installation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot engines, powertrains, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Travel to customer sites; ensure job costs are controlled and documented.
• Utilize CAT diagnostic tools and repair equipment; prepare for on-site or off-site work.
