Job summary

Lifting Solutions USA Inc. in Williston, North Dakota, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic/Technician to keep our oilfield service fleet safe, reliable, and field-ready.

This hands-on role suits a skilled mechanic who values variety, modern tooling, and stable year-round work. You will diagnose and repair light- and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and oilfield equipment, using sound technical judgment to troubleshoot issues and perform inspections.

Qualifications

  • Two to three years of experience working on heavy equipment.
  • Experience in well servicing industry (artificial lift/continuous rod handling) is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license with a five-year clean abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and improve the reliability of heavy equipment and support vehicles.
  • Perform inspections and diagnostics, safety checks, and complex repairs.
  • Support field operations and maintain compliance with PPE and safety standards.
  • Contribute to safety investigations as required.

This position is located in Williston, North Dakota. Relocation support or a rotational shift may be available for candidates outside the immediate area.

Your Responsibilities:

In alignment with the Lifting Solutions culture, mission, vision and values, you will be responsible to take ownership of


high-quality equipment service, diagnostics, and repair work that directly supports safe and reliable field operations.



  • Diagnose, repair, and improve the reliability of light-duty and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and specialized oilfield equipment.

  • Use sound technical judgement to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, complete failure analysis and recommend practical repair solutions.

  • Perform inspections on light-duty and heavy-duty mobile equipment.

  • Work on a variety of equipment and repair scopes that keep each day engaging and technically challenging.

  • Participate in safety, technical incident, and equipment investigations as required.

  • Remain current and compliant with regulatory requirements, company procedures, and required PPE standards.

  • Purse continued development through advanced diagnostics, manufacturer training, and technical learning opportunities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


This is a safety-sensitive role that may involve physically demanding work, shop-based repairs, exposure to oilfield equipment, and coordination with field operations. The successful candidate will be committed to safe work practices, regulatory compliance, and high-quality workmanship while contributing to a professional shop environment built on teamwork, pride, and reliability.


Requirements

Your Qualifications and Experience:


  • Two to three years of experience working on heavy equipment.

  • Previous well servicing industry experience, particularly in artificial lift and/or continuous rod handling, is considered an asset.

  • Valid driver’s license required; with a five-year driver's abstract in good standing.
