Job summary

Sentry ND is seeking a Pumping Unit Technician in Watford City, ND to install, maintain, inspect, and repair pumping units and related equipment for reliable oilfield production.

You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while working with field operations and maintenance teams in outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required; technical training or certification a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with pumping units or similar mechanical systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with oilfield safety procedures.
  • Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Install, align, and maintain beam pumping units, gearboxes, and prime movers.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues safely and promptly.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate service records.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as needed.
  • Ensure safety standards and regulations are followed.
  • Communicate with team members, supervisors, and production staff.
  • Respond to emergency callouts and troubleshoot field equipment.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Pumping Unit Technician to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of pumping units and related equipment to ensure efficient and reliable oilfield production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, align, and maintain beam pumping units, gearboxes, and prime movers
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a timely and safe manner
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
