Job summary

Kapp Companies in Ogden, Utah is seeking a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair construction equipment on site and in the shop. You will perform oil changes, lubrication, fluids, and filter changes, and participate in preventative maintenance programs.

You will troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, diesel and gasoline engines, oversee fabrication and welding of parts, and uphold safety standards while working outdoors in varied weather; periodic travel to job sites may be

Qualifications

1-2 years' experience as Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic
CDL-A preferred but not required
Willingness to obtain CDL-A in the future
DOT Medical Card required
Ability to stand, bend, shovel and perform manual labor
Comfortable with variable weather conditions

Responsibilities

Report daily to Fleet & Facilities Manager, Project Manager, and Office Management
Maintain and repair construction equipment, trucks, and non-mobile equipment on site and in shop
Perform oil changes, greasing, fluid additions, and filter changes
Implement preventative maintenance measures
Troubleshoot malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, diesel, gasoline engines) and plan repairs
Oversee fabrication and welding of miscellaneous parts
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Comply with safety policies and procedures
Additional duties as assigned by management
