Stowers Machinery Corporation in Chattanooga, TN, seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on diesel-powered equipment in the main shop. You will complete work orders efficiently, document findings and parts used, and communicate with shop leadership and customers when needed.

Formación

• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment components.
• Reading and interpreting service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair procedures.
• Strong communication for reporting findings and coordinating with leadership.
• Accurate documentation and adherence to processes.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment in the main shop.
• Complete preventative maintenance services including fluid changes, inspections, and adjustments.
• Document findings, parts used, and repair actions in work orders.
• Communicate equipment condition and recommended repairs to supervisors.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
• Follow safety procedures and regulatory standards.
• Assist with moving equipment in and out of the shop as needed.
• Support warranty repair processes and proper documentation.
