Job summary

Riggs CAT in Arkansas is seeking a Heavy Shop Technician to provide high quality repair service on equipment. You will complete jobs to meet time metrics, work safely, and handle paperwork and required databases accurately. You must have knowledge of engine, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, with the ability to use diagnostic software and cranes safely.

CDL readiness and MSHA may be needed. This role offers hands-on training and potential overtime, with a focus on safety and quality

Qualifications

Requires knowledge of engines and various systems: electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic components.
General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, laptops and diagnostic software.
Must be able to provide accurate information for quoting and obtain adequate tooling.
High School Diploma or GED, or 1–3 years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-work metrics.
Work safely and follow all Riggs safety policies and procedures.
Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, BMTS) accurately and timely.
Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
Complete all assigned training in a timely and proficient manner.
