Job summary

Riggs Cat is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide high quality repair service on equipment, responding to customer needs in a positive, caring and timely manner. You will remove and install parts, test assemblies, troubleshoot, and maintain knowledge of engine and compressor systems while following safety policies.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to calculate figures and perform basic math operations.

Responsibilities

• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Use hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, instruments and laptops.
• Understand manuals, schematics, and installation instructions.
• Maintain knowledge of engine and compressor systems.
• Troubleshoot systems for errors.
• Demonstrate mastery of basic tools, instruments, and diagnostic software.
• Complete assigned jobs to meet flat rate times and metrics.
• Work safely and follow Riggs safety policies and procedures.
• Complete related paperwork and access required databases accurately and timely.
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
