Job summary

Riggs CAT in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician to provide high quality repair service on equipment, delivering positive, caring and timely support to customers. You will complete assigned jobs to meet flat rate times and re-work metrics, while following safety policies and completing required paperwork.

The role requires knowledge of engines, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, plus ability to operate tools and diagnostic software.

Qualifications

General knowledge of engines, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Familiarity with basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, laptops, and diagnostic software.
Ability to provide accurate information to management for quoting.
Must maintain tooling to perform duties.
High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience/training.
Clean driving record and CDL within 90 days of hire for field assignment.
Must be 21+ to operate field vehicle.
Forklift and/or man lift certification prior to operation.
May require DOT physical and MSHA certification.
Flexibility for shift work, overtime, and on-call.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-work metrics.
Work safely and follow Riggs safety policies and procedures.
Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, BMTS) accurately and timely.
Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
Complete all assigned training in a timely and proficient manner.
