Overview:

Heavy Equipment Assembler

Join Keen, a Wallenius Wilhelmsen company, as a Heavy Equipment Assembler at our equipment processing center in Sanford, NC. We offer the opportunity to work with new, top-of-the-line heavy equipment and be part of a company committed to transforming logistics into a zero-emissions, carbon-free industry.

Starting pay is $18.00 an hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

What you'll do:

• Complete assembly of heavy equipment using hand, electric, and air-powered tools
• Unpackage, install, and remove machine parts
• Operate equipment to facilitate assembly
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Read and interpret manuals and schematics
• Follow OSHA standards and safety regulations

Qualifications

What you'll need:

• Ability to operate heavy equipment, forklifts, and cranes
• Ability to read manuals and schematics
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
• Sufficient dexterity and strength to operate tools and handle vibration
• Ability to lift 50 lbs overhead and work at heights up to 15 feet
• Ability to stand/walk throughout the workday
• Steel-toed boots/shoes
• Valid driver's license

Work Environment

This role operates in a professional shop/yard environment with exposure to elements and chemicals during equipment operation.
