Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking a Heavy Equipment Assembler for our Sanford, NC facility. Starting pay is $17.00 an hour, with experience-based advancement opportunities as you assemble heavy equipment using hand, electric, and air-powered tools.

You will read manuals and schematics, install parts, operate equipment to position attachments, and comply with OSHA safety standards in all weather conditions. Join us to help move the world forward.

Qualifications

• Operate heavy equipment, forklifts, and cranes.
• Read and interpret machine manuals and schematics.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems for construction and agricultural equipment.
• Sufficient hand dexterity to operate tools and withstand vibration.
• Able to lift overhead 50 lbs and climb heights up to 15 ft.
• Able to walk/stand during full workdays in various weather conditions.
• Current valid driver's license.

Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Complete assembly of partially built heavy equipment using hand, electric, and air-powered tools


• Unpackage, install, and remove machine parts


• Drive and operate equipment including backing up, tilting or raising or lowering attachments or other machine movements to facilitate proper assembly


• Be able to work outside in all reasonable weather condition


• Read and interpret machine manuals and schematics for assembly purposes


• Adhere to OSHA standards and company safety regulations

Job Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment , forklifts, overhead cranes


• Ability to read and interpret machine manuals and schematics


• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems for construction and agricultural equipment


• Sufficient hand dexterity and strength to operate a sledgehammer, power tools and withstand vibration of tools


• Ability to lift overhead 50 lbs and climb to/work at heights of up to 15 feet


• Ability to complete a full workday walking and/or standing in all reasonable weather conditions


• Current valid driver’s license
