Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen in Santa Paula, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Heavy Equipment Processor to load and unload construction equipment, safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes, and move heavy machinery for receiving and shipment. The position requires reading and interpreting shipping paperwork, driving units from the factory to the yard, and working outdoors in all reasonable weather.

The starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with full benefits, company matching 401(k), life and disability

Qualifications

• Ability to operate heavy equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping/receiving paperwork.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for a full workday in various weather conditions.
• Current valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload construction equipment for receiving or shipment.
• Safely operate lift trucks, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment.
• Drive and position equipment to facilitate transport.
• Work outdoors in all reasonable weather conditions.
• Read and interpret bills of lading, shipping orders, and other documentation.
• Transport units from factory to yard as required.

Are you looking to join a company where you'll work with new, top of the line heavy equipment? Wallenius Wilhelmsen company is seeking Manufacturing-Heavy Equipment Processor at our equipment processing center in Santa Paula, CA.

Starting pay is $20.00 an hour.

Job Description

• Load and unload construction equipment to/from trailers for receiving or shipment from the yard
• Safely operate lift truck, overhead crane, or other material
• Drive and operate equipment including backing up, tilting or raising or lowering attachments or other machine movements to facilitate transport
• Be able to work outside in all reasonable weather condition
• Read and interpret paperwork associated with the shipping/receiving function including but not limited to; bills of lading, shipping orders, manifests, tally sheets or export documentation.
• Must have a current driver’s license to drive units from the factory to the yard for storage or distribution

Job Requirements

• Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment, forklifts, overhead cranes
• Ability to read and interpret paperwork associated with shipping/receiving function
• Ability to carry and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to complete a full workday walking and/or standing in all reasonable weather conditions
• Current valid driver’s license
