Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking an A Technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic and body systems on heavy and light duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel and CNG. Welding and fabrication may be involved.

The role requires 3-5 years of hands-on experience with fleet maintenance, and CDL or ability to obtain one is preferred. Responsibilities include diagnostics, repairs on multiple OEMs, safety checks, and maintaining compliance with OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing drive trains, engines and transmissions in medium-duty vehicles.
• 3–5 years hands-on maintenance of class 8 vehicles; waste/recycling exp preferred.
• CDL Class B preferred or ability to obtain CDL license.
• Aim to obtain up to 7 ASE certifications within 36 months.
• Knowledge of OSHA fleet safety requirements and data tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose fleet issues on refuse/recycling vehicles.
• Maintain and repair Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil, McNeilus vehicles.
• Support coworkers to work safely and efficiently.
• Complete all required paperwork timely and concisely.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per OSHA standards.
• Use vehicle electronics to interpret failures and initiate repairs.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Demonstrate ethics and dependability in daily tasks.
