Job summary

Southern Tire Mart at Pilot LLC in the United States seeks an experienced diesel/heavy duty truck technician to diagnose and repair trucks and trailers. You will service brakes, wheel ends, suspension, electrical systems, and perform DOT inspections.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in heavy duty truck and trailer repair preferred
• Strong knowledge of commercial truck and trailer systems
• Experience with brakes, wheel ends, suspension, electrical, and diagnostics
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• CDL is a plus, if applicable

• Ability to lift heavy parts and tools with or without assistance
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a shop environment for extended periods
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and around heavy equipment
• Ability to safely use tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, and shop machinery
