Job summary

Best-One Tire & AutoCare in the United States is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our commercial service team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain large trucks and trailers both in-shop and on-site.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience with diesel engines and trailer systems, and a commitment to delivering safe, reliable service to our fleet customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, steering and suspension.
• Perform alignments, welding, and metal fabrication as needed.
• Inspect and service trailer components including tires, hubs, axles, and hydraulic systems.
• Execute preventative maintenance services and DOT inspections.
• Operate heavy-duty service trucks and tools for mobile repairs.
• Respond to emergency roadside service calls and perform on-site repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Safely operate diagnostic equipment, lifts, jacks, and power tools.
• Document services performed and submit reports to management.

Key Responsibilities

Truck & Trailer Maintenance

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, steering, and suspension.
• Conduct alignments, welding, and metal fabrication as needed.
• Inspect and service trailer components including tires, hubs, axles, and hydraulic systems.
• Execute preventative maintenance services and DOT inspections.

Road Service & Fleet Support

• Operate heavy-duty service trucks and tools for mobile repairs.
• Respond to emergency roadside service calls and perform on-site repairs.
• Conduct fleet inspections and communicate mechanical needs to service and sales teams.

Shop Operations

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Safely operate diagnostic equipment, lifts, jacks, and power tools.
• Document services performed and submit reports to management.
