Job summary

RoadRunner Wrecker Service LLC is seeking a skilled tow operator to perform heavy-duty towing, recovery, and emergency roadside assistance for commercial vehicles and heavy equipment. You will uphold safety standards, DOT regulations, and company procedures while delivering prompt, reliable service.

You will respond quickly to dispatched calls, document all activities accurately, and maintain equipment in peak condition.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Certificate.
• DCJS Registration within 60 days of hire.
• WreckMaster Level 4/5 certification within 12 months.
• Maintain a clean driving record (MVR).
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Basic math for invoice calculations.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform heavy-duty towing, recovery, and roadside assistance for commercial vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Respond to dispatch within 5 minutes and meet arrival-time standards on most calls.
• Complete documentation, invoicing, and maintain records within 24 hours of service.
• Maintain tow trucks and recovery equipment in inspection-ready condition.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours service as scheduled.
• Adhere to DOT regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
