Job summary

Guardian Fleet Services is seeking a Heavy-Duty Wrecker Driver to safely tow and recover commercial vehicles and heavy equipment. You will operate wreckers and recovery gear, maintain rigging, and complete paperwork while upholding DOT safety standards.

Candidates must live within 25 minutes of the terminal, have a valid CDL A, and demonstrate strong communication and customer service, with flexibility to respond during nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A.
• Clean driving record meeting DOT and insurance standards.
• Experience operating heavy-duty wreckers or rotators preferred.
• Knowledge of rigging, recovery techniques, and load securement.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty wreckers, rotators, and recovery equipment to tow or recover various vehicles/heavy equipment.
• Perform complex recoveries including rollovers, winch-outs, load shifts, and accident scene operations.
• Inspect, maintain, and secure all rigging, chains, straps, winches, and towing equipment.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the wrecker and report mechanical issues.
• Communicate with dispatch, law enforcement, customers, and other responders on-scene.
• Secure loads safely and in compliance with DOT and company standards.
• Complete required paperwork, digital logs, and service reports.
• Respond to calls during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized truck and uphold company safety standards.
