Job summary

UPS is seeking a permanent full-time mechanic to maintain a diverse fleet of delivery vehicles and trailers. The candidate will troubleshoot and repair hydraulic brakes, electronics and engines while meeting DOT requirements and CDL progression within a year.

The role involves 8–10 hour shifts, 4–5 days per week, overtime as needed, and lifting up to 70 pounds. Tools and PPE are required; work spans varied environments and temperatures.

Qualifications

• Current documented tractor/shifter mechanic experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and PC.
• Full complement of personal hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Meet DOT requirements and CDL qualification as required by job assignment.
• Perform various lifting, bending, and movement tasks throughout the workday.
• Full time: 8-10 hours per day, 4-5 days per 7-day week.
• Report to work on time and complete the scheduled workday consistently.
• Ability to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
• Operate manual transmission and power tools; wear PPE.
• Work in diverse environments with varying temperatures and noise.
