Job summary

K&R Truck Sales and West Michigan International (WMI) is seeking a dedicated Heavy-Duty Suspension Frame Technician to join our locally owned group of companies. You will perform vehicle alignment and suspension work on medium and heavy trucks across our five locations, while upholding our commitment to service excellence and a safe work environment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing alignment needs, completing repairs, documenting work, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy truck frame alignment and suspension is preferred.
• Strong reading comprehension and ability to follow written instructions.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, recommend, and complete vehicle alignment on medium and heavy trucks.
• Perform suspension and mechanical repairs on heavy trucks.
• Maintain service equipment and work area.
• Document work on service tickets and ensure safety guidelines are followed.
• Support management with duties as assigned.

With five locations in Grand Rapids, Holland, Kalamazoo, Lansing, and Muskegon, we support our customers with an extensive service department, three complete body shops, parts delivery, a fleet of mobile service trucks, towing, and a laser focus on customer service. We are currently seeking a dedicated Heavy-Duty Suspension Frame Technician to join our team and grow with us.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, recommend, and complete vehicle alignment on medium and heavy commercial trucks
• Complete Vehicle Alignment, suspension, and mechanical repair on medium and heavy commercial trucks
• Clean and maintain service equipment
• Provide "Service Excellence - Always" to meet the service goals of the location and guests
• Document work performed on service tickets
• Observe and comply with all safety and liability guidelines and policies
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
• Previous experience with heavy truck frame alignment and suspension preferred
• Knowledge in automotive repair and maintenance
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to be a team player
• Ability to multi-task and follow-up on multiple projects
