Young Automotive Group is hiring a Refuse Truck Technician at its Young Truck and Trailer location in Kaysville, Utah. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining refuse trucks, hydraulic systems, and related equipment to keep fleets safe and productive.

Qualifications

• Previous diesel, heavy-duty truck, or automotive technician experience preferred.
• Experience with refuse trucks or specialized truck equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, vehicle systems, and mechanical components.
• Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair refuse trucks and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative service.
• Repair and maintain diesel engines, brakes, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose and repair refuse truck equipment, including lifting mechanisms and compactor systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Complete repairs safely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work with the service team to ensure vehicles are safe and ready for operation.
