Job summary

Knife River Northwest is seeking a skilled mechanic to maintain and repair construction and mining equipment, including hydraulics, electrical, HVAC systems, undercarriage, engine and powertrain components. This role requires the use of diagnostic software, basic welding, and the ability to work in a shop or field environment.

Night shift work with a 8:30 PM–5:00 AM schedule and flexible hours. We offer medical, dental and vision insurance, HSA/FSA, 401(k) with company match, profit sharing, 8

Qualifications

• Minimum mechanical experience on construction equipment.
• Must have own hand tools; company provides large/special tooling.
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain CDL with Hazmat/Tanker.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintenance and repair of construction and mining equipment
• Hydraulics, electrical, HVAC systems, undercarriage, engine, and powertrain repairs
• Basic welding ability
• Shop or field environment
• Ability to use diagnostic software
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• All other duties assigned

Hours: 8:30PM-5:00AM Monday to Friday, hours and days flexible

Wage Range - $26.91 - $44.90

Plus night shift differential ($3)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous mechanical experience on construction equipment. Some truck repair experience preferred
• Must have own hand tools. Company provides large and specialty tooling
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement
• Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional and drug screen
• Display a professional, safe, and courteous attitude
