Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in industry or heavy-duty training.
• Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certificate.
• Basic welding knowledge/experience.
• Ability to work in a team setting and communicate clearly with team members.
• Supply own tool set for heavy highway construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, cooling, computer fuel, emissions, and hydraulic systems on HD trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, cooling, computer, emissions, fuel and hydraulic systems on construction equipment (chippers, pavers, rollers, mills).
• Document mileage/hours and safety procedures; maintain maintenance records and job orders.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, safety inspections, brake repairs, lubrication.
• Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or repair work is needed.
