Job summary

Mid-Atlantic Truck & Equipment in Cheswick, PA is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join our shop. You’ll diagnose and repair heavy trucks and equipment, work on diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and keep rigs on the road the right way.

You’ll be part of a team that values skill, reliability, and quality workmanship, with generous perks like a $1,500 sign-on bonus, quarterly tool allowance, and a Monday–Friday schedule. Tools provided, no weekends.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience with hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves and hoses.
• 4+ years MIG and stick welding experience.
• 4+ years automotive electrical experience.
• 4+ years diesel engine repair is preferred.
• Must have own tools.
• CDL Class A or B is a plus.

Responsibilities

• As a Heavy Truck Diesel Mechanic, you will: Make sure equipment is well-maintained and safe for our customers.
• Use Mid-Atlantic Truck & Equipment diagnostic equipment to research and complete repairs.
• Complete preventative maintenance repairs—like replacing or rotating tires and lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders).
• Partner with the service manager to learn new skills using company training and hands-on coaching.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
