Qualifications

• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including preventative maintenance such as oil changes and brake work.
• Two years or more of classroom training or work experience in required areas.
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred; must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months and pass safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment when applicable.
• Identifies root causes and performs necessary repairs to component level.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the complaint and plan tasks.
