Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group. We are hiring a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to perform heavy-duty mechanical repair under general supervision, with on-the-job training to achieve Service Journeyman status.

The role involves engines, fuel and electrical systems, transmissions, cooling, chassis, brakes, and routine maintenance, with opportunities to work on major components under supervision and to troubleshoot minor problems.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs general mechanical duties and repairs.
• Repairs engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, brakes and cooling systems.
• Works on major components with supervision and performs troubleshooting.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat work area and handles company tools properly.
• Advises the Shop Foreman on additional repairs when needed.
• Follows safety practices and seeks assistance when necessary.
