Job summary

Mid-Atlantic Truck & Equipment in Clinton, MD, is seeking a Diesel Technician to work on heavy-duty trucks and equipment Monday–Friday. You’ll perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance, using a range of tools and manufacturer training to expand your skills.

The role features competitive hourly pay, no flat-rate, and strong benefits including PTO, holidays, and a company-supported retirement plan. CDL is a plus and valid DL is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on diesel experience with heavy-duty trucks or equipment.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, brakes, and general mechanical repairs.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, drivetrains, and electrical systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues.
• Solid mechanical foundation and ability to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and equipment including diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs: brake work, fluid services, tires, cooling systems.
• Document diagnostics, repairs, parts used, and recommendations.
• Communicate with the Service Manager and team about repairs and parts.
