Job summary
Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment. You will work on chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, and HVAC, with on‑site and road service duties. Experience in heavy‑duty and C/DL credentials are a plus. A stable shift and growth opportunities are offered.
The role includes training in new technologies and a chance to serve our community with a leading environmental services company.
Qualifications
- diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
- basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
- experience with Class 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks or equivalent training.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair vehicle components and systems on-site and on the road.
- Perform chassis, braking, engine, HVAC, suspension, and drive train maintenance.
- Provide safe road service to return equipment to operation.
- Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete training programs.
