Job summary

GFL Industries in Texas is seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain company-owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment to keep operations reliable.

You will diagnose and repair operational difficulties, perform maintenance on diesel and electrically operated equipment, plan repairs, procure parts and complete daily reports and work orders while upholding strict safety standards across the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical diploma preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Experience using diagnostic software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment.
• Plan and schedule repairs; procure parts for successful plan.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety regulations.
• Complete reports and work orders daily and maintain records.
• Assist in training and orientation of new employees.
