Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical diploma desired.
• Minimum of one year experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Experience using diagnostic software a plus.
• Must be computer literate and able to learn software systems.
• Must meet safety criteria for safety-sensitive functions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair operational difficulties with heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment.
• Maintain and repair heavy diesel, CNG, gas and electrically operated equipment and vehicles.
• Complete reports, work orders, order parts and perform other administrative duties daily.
• Plan and schedule repairs in M5 planner and procure parts for the plan.
• Assist in reviewing mechanical write-ups and coordinate repair schedules.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety regulations.
• Utilize power and hand tools and equipment as needed.
• Maintain and provide tools necessary for maintenance of heavy/hydraulic equipment.
• Keep a clean work area and adhere to company policies.
• Assist in training new employees and stay up-to-date with technology via manuals and training.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
