Job summary

Seaboard Foods in Guymon, OK is seeking a heavy-duty diesel mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment used in the traffic department, including shag trucks, tractors, and trailers. The role involves daily checks and coordinating with management on PM services to keep equipment reliable and on schedule.

The position is safety sensitive and requires documenting repairs, ordering parts, and ensuring adherence to safety and food safety policies.

Qualifications

• Three years minimum experience working as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic.
• Basic knowledge of refrigeration repair is preferred.
• Must be able to perform vehicle & trailer repairs including engine work, brake work, tires, seals, electrical problems, and identify safety concerns for Class 8.
• Must have a current valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus; Class 8 driver requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Inspects equipment and performs repairs beyond routine.
• Documents damaged equipment and plans repairs to minimize cost and downtime.
• Tracks repairs including date, cost, reason, and downtime.
• Follows all safety and food safety policies and procedures.
