Job summary

Select Chemistry in Oklahoma is seeking a Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and rebuild diesel equipment both on-site and off-site. You will perform inspections, maintenance, and alignments while documenting work and promoting a safe, efficient shop environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle.
• Heavy duty truck mechanic experience required.
• Diagnosing and repairing Diesel Exhaust Aftertreatment systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, diesel engine problems and hydraulic, pump, and vacuum equipment.
• Experience working on tractor trailers.
• Basic welding skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain transportation fleet to ensure safety of employees, clients, and the public.
• Conduct periodic inspections.
• Review daily pre/post-trip reports.
• Correct identified deficiencies.
• Schedule and oversee major repairs.
• Complete required documentation.
• Maintain open communication with management on repair status.
• Ensure a clean, safe work environment at all times.
• Maintain shop and field maintenance equipment and conduct periodic calibration.
• Identify and maintain inventory of high-use maintenance items.
• Be on-call to respond to emergency calls.
• Control costs of maintenance through warranties and vendor evaluation.
