Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Horizontal Construction Engineer to remove obstacles and clear sites for roads, airfields, and buildings. You will operate bulldozers, roadgraders, and other heavy equipment to support construction missions.

Responsibilities include leveling earth for runways and roadbeds, digging and clearing areas, transporting heavy equipment, and supporting combat engineer missions. Training leads to civilian construction skills and potential certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment is preferred.
• Basic understanding of soil types and grading stakes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze grade stakes and place them.
• Cut and spread fill material with scraper.
• Level earth for runways and roadbeds.
• Assist in heavy construction and equipment transport.
