Job summary

Sundt is seeking a Project Superintendent in Tempe to plan, coordinate, and supervise field and administrative project operations. You will lead safety, profitability, schedule, and quality, including self-performed work, while guiding a team through LEAN and weekly work planning cycles.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in heavy civil projects, experience with large-scale underground utilities, and strong leadership to ensure exceptional client experiences.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills are essential.
• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of construction, negotiations, cost control, scheduling, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the review of shop drawings, submittals, subcontract change orders and purchase orders.
• Collaborates with the Project Manager to develop the project management plan including scope, procurement and safety plans.
• Conducts weekly coordination meetings with project teams and subcontractors and prepares daily field status reports.
• Coordinates documentation of constructability issues, potential design conflicts and clarifications.
• Develops and manages the construction plan for successful execution of the work.
• Ensures work is executed according to contract terms in a profitable manner.
• Interacts with owners, teams and stakeholders to maintain a positive project environment and client experience.
• Manages field operations and project success including profitability, safety, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Prepares and updates the CPM Project Schedule and uses LEAN processes and Weekly Work Plans.
