Job summary

Sundt is seeking a capable field supervisor in Tempe, AZ to oversee day-to-day construction activities, supervise craft workers and subcontractors, and coordinate with project schedules. Focus on safety, production goals, quality, and cost control across large-scale underground utility projects.

Ideal candidates bring heavy civil and underground utility construction experience on large-scale projects and can lead multiple foremen and field teams with a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum of two years supervisory experience in construction.
• Understanding scheduling and cost control, and ability to supervise employees and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Review shop drawings, RFI review, and coordinate with subcontractors while ensuring quality control and safety.
• Manage equipment selection, construction methods, and sequencing of operations.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and implement LEAN planning.
• Conduct daily risk analyses with project leaders to mitigate issues and document outcomes.
• Enforce safety culture and ensure the safety plan is followed and reinforced.
