Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil in Louisiana seeks a Project Scheduler to develop, maintain, and analyze schedules for heavy civil construction, ensuring timely project delivery.

You will use Primavera P6 for detailed scheduling, collaborate with project teams, monitor progress, and perform what-if analyses to assess impacts of changes. Strong analytical, communication, and reading drawings skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Project Scheduler in heavy civil construction.
• Proficient in Primavera P6.
• Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles, methodologies, and terminology.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules, including resource loading and critical path analysis, using Primavera P6.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other stakeholders to gather schedule input and ensure alignment.
• Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit regular schedule updates and reports to project teams and management.
• Conduct “what-if” scenarios and analyze potential impacts of changes to project scope, resources, or timelines.
• Facilitate schedule review meetings and communicate schedule status and issues effectively.
• Develop and maintain project progress curves, histograms, and other schedule-related metrics.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, and industry best practices for scheduling.
• Assist in the development of project recovery plans when necessary.
• Support claims analysis and dispute resolution with accurate schedule data.
