Job summary

Cajun Engineering Solutions, Baton Rouge, LA, is seeking an Engineering Planner / Scheduler to develop, maintain and analyze schedules for multi-discipline projects. You will coordinate with project managers, discipline leads, procurement, and construction teams to translate scope into executable plans.

Responsibilities include building Primavera P6 schedules, aligning with MDRs, and delivering look-ahead reports and narratives. Strong CP analysis and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Excel.
• Knowledge of engineering deliverables, discipline interfaces, design reviews, and issued-for-construction workflows.
• Ability to develop logic-driven schedules and perform critical path analysis.
• Experience with resource planning, progress measurement, schedule forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated engineering schedules using Primavera P6, including activities, durations, dependencies, milestones, and critical paths.
• Establish realistic execution sequences for multiple engineering disciplines.
• Align schedules with MDRs, work packages, scope requirements, and milestones.
• Coordinate with vendors, clients, other firms, procurement, and construction.
• Identify required design inputs and communication of missing information and impacts.
• Facilitate schedule reviews with discipline leads to validate progress and resources.
• Establish progress measurement methods based on milestones and completion.
• Evaluate critical/near-critical activities, float, and schedule risks.
• Develop resource-loaded schedules and staffing forecasts.
