Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a qualified professional for a hands-on heavy civil PM/estimating role in Livermore, CA. You will oversee projects from preconstruction through completion, coordinating with field teams and stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of heavy civil PM and estimating experience, with concrete/earthwork backgrounds. Bay Area proximity is highly valued for timely site collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of directly relevant heavy civil construction project management and estimating experience.
• Hands-on experience with concrete, dirt/earthwork, and heavy civil projects.
• Strong estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, scopes, and construction documents.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Bay Area construction experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction and estimating through completion.
• Prepare estimates, budgets, takeoffs, pricing, and project proposals.
• Coordinate concrete, earthwork, dirt, foundation, and related civil scopes.
• Partner with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, owners, and project stakeholders.
• Track project costs, schedules, change orders, documentation, and overall performance.
• Help identify project risks, constructability issues, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support bidding and preconstruction efforts for public and private projects.
• Keep projects organized, moving forward, and aligned with quality and financial goals.
