Job summary

Confidential Employer in Livermore, CA is seeking an experienced heavy civil project manager and estimator to own and execute projects from preconstruction through completion. This on-site role requires 3+ years of relevant experience in concrete, earthwork, and heavy civil construction, with strong estimating and cost-control skills.

You will collaborate with field teams, subcontractors, owners, and stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and within budget, while advancing safety and quality

Qualifications

• 3+ years of directly relevant heavy civil construction project management and estimating experience.
• Hands-on experience with concrete, dirt/earthwork, and heavy civil projects.
• Strong estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, scopes, and construction documents.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Prepare estimates, budgets, takeoffs, pricing, and project proposals.
• Coordinate concrete, earthwork, dirt, foundation, and related civil scopes.
• Partner with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, owners, and project stakeholders.
• Track project costs, schedules, change orders, documentation, and overall performance.
• Help identify project risks, constructability issues, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support bidding and preconstruction efforts for public and private projects.
• Keep projects organized, moving forward, and aligned with quality and financial goals.

Note:

Candidates must have 3+ years of directly relevant project management and estimating experience in concrete, dirt/earthwork, and heavy civil construction. Strong preference will be given to candidates already located in the Bay Area or within a practical commute of Livermore.
