-About the OpportunityAn established Southern California contractor with a long history in public works and civil infrastructure is looking to add an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager. The company performs municipal and infrastructure projects throughout the Los Angeles area, including roadway improvements, utilities, drainage, pipeline, sewer and storm drain work. The Project Manager will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers and public agencies while managing schedule, budget, documentation and overall project performance.-Key ResponsibilitiesManage heavy civil and public works projects from startup through closeoutCoordinate with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, suppliers and agenciesManage project budgets, schedules, cost tracking and forecastingHandle RFIs, RFCOs, submittals, change orders and T&M documentationSupport estimating, takeoffs and pricing for new work and project changesAttend project meetings, job walks and agency meetingsIdentify field issues and work with operations to keep projects on scheduleSupport billing, procurement and project closeout-QualificationsProject management experience in heavy civil, public works, infrastructure or utility constructionStrong understanding of civil construction and field operationsExperience with municipal or public agency projectsBackground in roadway, drainage, utilities, pipeline, sewer or storm drain work preferredExperience managing budgets, schedules, change orders and subcontractorsEstimating or preconstruction experience is a plusCity of Los Angeles experience is highly desirableProficiency with Microsoft Office; Sage/Timberline or similar software is a plus-BenefitsMedical benefits with employer contributionGas and vehicle support based on position requirements
