Job summary

Posillico Civil, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and Superintendent on heavy civil infrastructure and transportation construction projects.

You will assist in safety, quality, planning and production, finance and record keeping, and may work with other Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers on multiple projects within the Mid-Atlantic region. Responsibilities include safety training support, cost tracking, look-ahead schedules, daily quantity entry,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering, or a 4-year degree in Construction or Environmental Management with 2–3 years of related experience
• Experience in heavy construction (civil infrastructure, site-work, roads, bridges, environmental)
• Able to meet deadlines, detail oriented, highly organized, good follow-through
• Effective verbal and written communication is essential
• Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe/Bluebeam, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Viewpoint, HeavyBid and HeavyJob is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with safety, quality, planning and production tasks
• Support cost control, finance, and record keeping; assist with submittals and RFIs
• Prepare and review look-ahead schedules; monitor progress against baselines
• Enter daily quantities, update job sheets, and support material tracking
• Assist with purchase orders, subcontracts, and pay applications
• Maintain project records including daily logs, submittals, RFIs, and correspondence
• Support field offices with documentation and problem-solving, including value engineering proposals
