Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager – Heavy Civil Construction to join our growing construction division and lead mid to large-scale projects ranging from $5M to $75M.

The role requires travel to projects across Southern Central states and entails planning, directing, coordinating, and budgeting with supervision from the Operations Manager. The position emphasizes safety, constructability reviews, and coordination with architects, clients, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CM or related field required.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience with heavy civil design-build projects managing all aspects from design, approvals, procurement, construction, and implementation.
• Regular, predictable attendance is required.
• Ability to get along and work effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Manage mid to large scale projects with moderate to high risk levels.
• Coordinate with Construction Operations Manager to align project performance with goals.
• Provide mentorship to junior project staff and supervise on-site teams.
• Prepare budgets, schedules, and procurement plans.
• Review contracts and ensure compliance with plans, permits, and safety codes.
