Trueline Talent's client in Nevada seeks an Estimator to join their heavy civil and mining projects in the Mountain West region. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, review drawings, and develop competitive bids using HCSS HeavyBid.

This full-time position based in Elko, NV requires 3–5 years’ experience, strong earthwork knowledge, and travel to project sites as needed. The role offers benefits and collaboration with leadership.

Formación

• 3–5 years of estimating experience in heavy civil or mining projects.
• Strong knowledge of earthwork, grading, utilities, and road construction.
• Experience reading drawings, specs, geotechnical reports, and contracts.
• Experience using HCSS HeavyBid or similar software.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook; able to run takeoffs.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for heavy civil and mining work.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, and geotechnical reports to define scope.
• Calculate labor, equipment, material, and subcontract costs.
• Develop bids using HCSS HeavyBid or similar software.
• Solicit subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Identify risks and opportunities for cost savings.
• Collaborate with project managers on bid strategy and schedules.
• Present estimate summaries and key assumptions.
• Support handoffs, change orders, and cost comparisons.
