Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy in Hollis Creek is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support civil and mechanical construction and maintenance tasks. You will operate a range of machinery, follow blueprints, and uphold safety standards on site.

The role requires a valid driver's license, ability to work outdoors in varied weather, and willingness to overtime. CDL is preferred but not required; strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Strong understanding of excavation, grading, and general construction practices.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
• Physical ability to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, trenchers, and other construction and mechanical equipment.
• Perform pre-operation and post-operation inspections of equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
• Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed, reporting larger issues to supervisors.
• Dig, backfill, and grade trenches, foundations, and other earthwork according to project specifications and blueprints.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipelines, utility systems, and other civil infrastructure.
• Load and unload materials, supplies, and equipment from trucks and trailers.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and other personnel on site.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and reports of work performed and equipment used.
• Perform general labor duties as required when not operating equipment.
