Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy in Hollis Creek, LA, seeks a Civil/Mechanical Equipment Operator (Eligible to Drive) to operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other machinery on civil and mechanical projects. You will perform pre/post inspections and support field crews.

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent, proven heavy equipment experience, and a valid driver's license (CDL preferred). The role demands safety compliance, ability to read blueprints, and willingness to work overtime

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience operating heavy civil and mechanical equipment.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of excavation, grading and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, trenchers.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections for safety and functionality.
• Maintain and minor-repair equipment; report larger issues to supervisors.
• Dig, backfill, and grade trenches and foundations per specs and blueprints.
• Assist with installation and repair of pipelines and civil infrastructure.
• Load/unload materials from trucks and trailers and manage site logs.
• Adhere to safety regulations and communicate effectively on site.
• Perform general labor when not operating equipment.
