Kiewit Foundations Co is offering a Field Engineer Intern – Heavy Civil for Summer 2027 in Omaha, NE (and other US locations). This internship provides hands-on opportunities in construction management, with learning in field engineering, planning, cost control, and coordination on underground and foundation projects.

You will be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related fields, and will travel or relocate as needed.

• Able to work full-time during the summer (May–August).
• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Field engineering, planning, cost control and project scheduling.
• Quantity tracking, material procurement and contract administration.
• Estimating support and supervision of field activities.
• Perform engineering tasks using standard techniques on site.
• Maintain records of progress, costs and material usage.
• Plan and schedule job segments and activities.
• Collaborate with suppliers to expeditie material delivery.
