Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Field Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 across Naples, FL and other Southeast locations. This hands-on internship exposes you to field engineering, project planning, and construction management, with relocation as needed and a pathway to full-time opportunities.

You will work on transportation and heavy civil projects, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to safety, scheduling, and cost control while developing practical skills for a future civil engineering

Qualifications

Pursuing undergraduate/graduate degree in civil engineering or related field.
Willingness to travel/relocate to project sites as needed.
Strong commitment to safety and ethics.

Responsibilities

Field engineering, operation planning, cost control, project scheduling, quantity tracking, material procurement, contract administration, estimation & supervision of field activities.
Performing engineering tasks using standard techniques and solving minor technical problems during construction.
Maintaining records of job progress, costs, material usage, etc.
Planning and scheduling of job segments and activities.
Investigating problems and recommending solutions as appropriate.
Reviewing plans and specs to determine material requirements and pricing.
