Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd. is seeking a Heavy Civil Estimator to join the Atlanta metro area preconstruction team, responsible for detailed cost estimates and bid packages for civil infrastructure and site development projects.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on estimating experience with earthwork, grading, underground utilities, drainage, paving, and related heavy civil construction projects, and be able to read civil drawings and bid documents with strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating heavy civil construction projects.
• Ability to read civil drawings and bid documents.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and contract requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop project cost estimates.
• Analyze labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Prepare bid proposals, estimate summaries, clarifications, and exclusions.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and project reviews.
• Collaborate with operations teams during bid turnover and project startup.
• Identify project risks, cost exposures, and opportunities.

Heavy Civil Estimator

A growing civil construction contractor in the Atlanta metro area is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Estimator to join its preconstruction team. This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and bid packages for civil infrastructure and site development projects.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on estimating experience with earthwork, grading, underground utilities, drainage, paving, and related heavy civil construction projects.

• Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and contract requirements.
